I met some nice friends on my recent vacation. Whether or not they stick around for the long haul remains to be seen. I thought I met some great peops last year in Hawaii, but I only really keep in touch with one person from that trip, and very infrequently. I'm getting to the point in my life where I'd rather do without mere acquaintanceships, investing instead in the people who are really, truly, potentially meaningful. Although I know the argument could be made that all relationships, no matter how slight, serve a purpose. One thing I know for sure: it's ironic that my list of friends grows now that I'm off Facebook.
